Are there no pre-defined reports available in SAM, standard reports for things like software/hardware inventories that you would expect to see out of the box?
I've looked at the report writer web interface, which seems to let me create software inventory reports for a single system, or if I select a group say "Windows" then it throws out a big list with systems and software... but these seems basic. Where's the report to say how many copies of applicationZ are installed, and why can't I click this and list the systems that it's installed on? Surely these sort of things should be OOTB stuff?
Do I need to go and create some SSRS reports to do this? (I'm sure I ready a presentation from SolarWinds saying one thing about using SAM instead of SCOM was that you didn't need to write SSRS for their stuff????)
