As I work on a process to import routing tables into IPAM for our initial deployment, I find myself doing a LOT of legwork identifying supernets in advance, and creating them, and then removing them from my import list. It would be helpful to have a checkbox in the bulk add subnets wizard to allow sane supernet creation automatically.
Given the pre-created Supernet 192.168.0.0/16,
If I had the following import list:
192.168.16.0/22
192.168.16.0/24
192.168.16.192/26
192.168.17.0/24
I would like Solarwinds to create 192.168.16.0/22 192.168.16.0/24 as nested supernets, and 192.168.16.192/26 and 192.168.17.0/24 as subnets. This would literally save me hours of work on the initial import for a large ISP that hands out subnets, and performs our own supernetting to move large blocks to various areas, and reserve block space for existing customers.
