My idea is to have a contract and vendor support database in solarwinds that could:
-keep a list if it assets from the list of devices in ncm or npm or possible add others not listed in solarwinds eg software , hardware, or managed services?
-be able to track costs (purchase details and reference the purchase order/invoice, ongoing/maintenance, lease costs and details, licensing costs and renewals) of that asset and track deprecation information
-be able to do reports like end of financial end of year deprecation cost, or total cost of ownership reports, vendor contract renewal dates, sla breach reporting, licensing or maintenance costs etc
-keep a list of vendors we deal with and hold there contract agreements, sla's etc
-be able to assign or link the asset to a vendor
-Be able to when there is a problem eg. faulty hard drive in a server, log a job via a email template (with all the asset and support contact details) to the vendor either automatically or triggered manually.
-vendor sla tracking /integration with solarwinds products eg. ip sla, track an outage from a hosted telco network and be alerted if the is a breach of sla. Or track if a device has not been fixed within sla after a request has been sent to the vendor for replacement parts etc
