So I have been using the KiWi CatTools for a few months now, and I can honestly say I am impressed. We have Key devices that we back up the configuration on a monthly basis or as changes occur on the devices. We like keep another copy of the backups besides what NCM does on a continual basis.
1. Before KiWi CatTools we would have to manual go into these devices and copy the configuration to a TFTP server, then transfer that backup to our Sotrage area for backups.
2. KiWi Cattools saved our bacon by allowing us to automatically schedule the backup of key devices on a scheduled basis, and we could specify the exact folder locations to put that configuration into.
3, I did consider other options like trying to make a script that automatically uploaded the configuration to the network shares, but that was turning into a pain.
4. Since going to KiWi CatTools now all I have to do is verify that my backups of the device configurations are in the folder. Which saves me over and hour of my precious time.
