We had a failed drive in an EVA but this didnt alert us due to the setting "alert on first occurence only" being enabled.
The original alert was not acknowledged therefore didnt generate a new alert.
The question i have, is... Is there any way to set up a test alert to act as if a drive has failed when it hasnt?
I cant see any option to send a test alert in storage manager and the only way to test this is in a live environment.
If this is not a feature, i would like to see an option to set a drive to "error status" to trigger a test alert so we can test our rules and policies actually work.
Any thoughts?
